PeruJam 2025

PeruJam 2025

There are situations that are difficult to put into words, because no matter how detailed, it's impossible to fully describe an emotion. To fully understand the feeling, you have to experience it at least once. The Jam isn't just a party; it's not comparable to the wild individualism of contests or the grand proclamations of glossy festivals with mega-guests without the opportunity to interact. The Jam is life, it's the lifeblood of our culture, it's that moment made of unpaid effort, attitude, exchange, laughter, and moments of confrontation. When you're at the Jam, you have to represent, because it's the moment when you present yourself to the scene and make your work count, show who you are in the circle, on the wall, on the decks, and at the open mic. You represent yourself, your crew, the scene of your city. Without the small jams and the guys who, out of pure passion and the desire to unite different realities, take on the task of creating these situations, there wouldn't even be big events; remember that well. We are the culture, not the sponsors or the multinationals. When they no longer make enough money, they'll leave us as quickly as they arrived, while the Jams and Block Parties will always be there, giving space to everyone and keeping the roots of the culture strong. Then, by holding on, year after year, small independent events become pretty fat and grow, carrying on the right spirit. Nothing comes from nowhere, nothing is owed to anyone; you have to take action yourself if you really want to keep this thing we call Hip Hop Culture going. We repeat, there's more soul in the block party than in the big event. When you find them, go and support them. You'll understand the difference we're talking about better than a thousand words, because you'll experience the real culture firsthand. So, be warned: next year you all MUST go to @perujam.hh 😀. We spent a wonderful weekend with the organizers Leo and Alex, who for years have been independently working to offer Perugia's (super) HH scene a day of unity and celebration. Obviously together with a great group of friends and supporters who help him on the pitch. Thanks to Lidia for the hospitality and the great chats, to Benny, Tommy, Giuseppe, Gigi and the entire support team. All disciplines represented, excellent selection of @maurizio_cek @rob._.mystic and @alessiodhalsim , Enth e Root adding colors, @muretto.pg @ghettoblatta crew from Aprilia and @shekkero at the mic with freestyle, songs and open mic, big and small b-boys and b-girls on the floor killing it. But above all, excuse us, the undisputed star of any self-respecting Jam: the barbecue! Totally awesome, a day of great vibes. More Jam!! So great everyone, thank you so much for inviting us and letting us experience that atmosphere that we too have brought to Romagna for years with our jam #lastarpegna made with @apsromagnainfiore. We saw ourselves in your hard work, your kindness, your passion, and the joy of seeing everyone, guests and audience, with perpetual smiles. We made tons of friends and got to know some veterans of the scene, big up @dips_htk_nf , @mr_cometti , @mattiab186 , #deno , @moonrunnerz , @_ortuso_ , and all the guys and girls present. One Love. Thanks to people like you, the flame stays lit; thanks to your hard work, jams worth supporting will continue to exist. There's no need to be nostalgic; the old-fashioned jams are still here, live in the present and support! Keep that Fire Burning, as @soullee_b  says ❤️‍🔥 Big hug and see you next time!
