Spitfire 2026 Recap

Once again this year, we gather for the Spitfire Contest, thanks to Den and the friends of Alessio Spitfire, who keep the memory and love for Alessio, who passed away prematurely and is never forgotten. Naturally, we were there to support this fantastic two-day event, which featured a mix of workshops and competitions. There was a great turnout across the various categories, and host Sapu ensured plenty of fun. Illa G and Pavimento Fertile were on the decks, spinning a great selection of tracks (don't miss the next edition in Senigallia from October 23rd to 25th!). You know a breaking event guarantees a great show, but we particularly loved the "My Teacher and Me" concept; it shifts the focus away from pure competition and onto the bond and shared human connection between dancers. Big ups to Smile and La famiglia che balla  for introducing such a great format. Between taking a dip and chatting with friends, it was a wonderful evening—we hope to see even more of you there next year.
